Ben Affleck has returned to rehab for the third time and Playboy model Shauna Sexton denies having anything to do with his relapse.

The model had been spending time with the Batman actor amid reports that he and Lindsay Shookus, 38, ended their relationship after one year together.

Now Sexton has hit back at a fan on Instagram who accused her of getting Affleck ‘thrown in rehab.’

In a series of responses in the comments section of a photo of her drinking red wine, she wrote: ‘Never drank around or with him for the record.’

Sexton did not deny her past with alcohol, saying she had made ‘a dumb mistake and an embarrassing one at that.’

She ensured to make sure her denial was clear as she insisted she had nothing to with Affleck’s admission to rehab.

She wrote: ‘Do these mistakes mean I would disrespect someone’s hard-earned sobriety by drinking with them or in front of them? Hell no. I have limitless respect for those who take action and actually do something about it.’

‘With that being said, Ben is a grown ass man, baby. He makes his own decisions. Blaming a 22-year-old for someone’s 3rd time in rehab is just ridiculous. He is human. I am human.’

Ben was spotted last month buying a box of alcohol and liquor, with TMZ claiming this was the ‘tipping point’ of for his ex Jennifer Garner, who then ‘staged an intervention’.

Actress Jennifer – who he shares children Violet, 12, Seraphina, 9, and Samuel, 6 with – was seen driving him to rehab for alcohol addiction.

The publication claimed Ben has now entered a ‘live-in facility’ in LA County – allegedly the third time he’s sought treatment for alcohol issues.

A source told Entertainment Tonight: ‘Jen is proud of the strides he’s made, but some of his friends were worried he might be taking some steps backward and could be on a slippery slope.’

They added: ‘Ben wants nothing more than to get sober for his kids, for Jen and also for his career. He realises the dangers of what he could lose in life if he doesn’t stick to the programme, and dedicate himself tothese big changes.’

The star and two-time Oscar winner has been open about his battles in the past as he sought help in 2001 and 2017.

After his most recent stint, he wrote on his Facebook page in March last year: ‘I have completed treatment for alcohol addiction; something I’ve dealt with in the past and will continue to confront.

‘I want to live life to the fullest and be the best father I can be. I want my kids to know there is no shame in getting help when you need it, and to be a source of strength for anyone out there who needs help but is afraid to take the first step.

‘I’m lucky to have the love of my family and friends, including my co-parent, Jen, who has supported me and cared for our kids as I’ve done the work I set out to do. This was the first of many steps being taken towards a positive recovery.’
