Kim Jong Un has arrived in Singapore ahead of his meeting with President Donald Trump.
The historic meeting will be the first time a North Korean leader meets a sitting US president and will take place onÂ Sentosa island on Tuesday.
Singaporeâs minister for foreign affairs Vivian Balakrishnan tweeted a photo of the two to welcome Kim to the city-state.
Trump and Kim are set to meet in two days at the Cabella Hotel to discuss denuclearisation of North Korea, in exchange for economic help.
Kimâs motorcade was escorted by traffic police from Changi Airport on Sunday.
He is expected to stay at the St Regis hotel and Trump at the Shangri-La.
Trump said on Saturday that Kim has a ‘one-time shotâ at reaching a deal with the US.
As he headed to Singapore following the G7 meeting in Canada, Trump said: ‘It is going to work out very well.
‘I really feel confident. I feel that Kim Jong Un wants to do something great for his people and he has that opportunity and he wonât have that opportunity again.â
He added: ‘I think within the first minute Iâll knowâ if North Korea is serious about a deal.
